A French Immersion Public Charter School; the first charter school granted a charter in the state of Missouri.Co-Founder / President of Board of Directors / Ex-officio As one of four co-founders, provided input on writing the charter plan, defining the organizational structure, establishing policies and procedures, providing strategic and long range planning, human resources development and recruitment, and overseeing multiple committees. As Board President, directly managed this $2.5 million educational institution, which included securing ongoing financial support from corporate, civic and community funding sources.

As the Public Information Officer, served on the Superintendents’ seven member cabinet and executive leadership team, in the capacity of assisting the Superintendent with leading a 6,000 (+) student population district to include but not limited to the following responsibilities and initiatives: strategic planning, internal and external communications, district spokesperson, equity leadership, creation of a new earned income model as a district funding source, corporate partnership development, public & media relations, establishing a competitive market awareness for the District, volunteer management, mentoring and program engagement & development, redesigned internal procedures and controls for the public information office and special projects as assigned.

Oversee all aspects of Marketing & PR and Fund Development to include non restricted revenue generated programs. Also in charge of Community Affairs, Patient Satisfaction, Patient Recruitment and Retention, Program Development, Corporate Relations, and Volunteer Management.

Directly in charge of planning, developing, and servicing high profile conventions with an economic impact of well over $23 million (+) dollars in Kansas City metropolitan area. Industries represented include the multicultural, religious, and corporate markets. Collaborated and built robust relationships with the national executive management teams to help understand and implement best practices in convention planning and implementation. Serve as the liaison to local planning committees and local city officials to obtain direct involvement and support with conventions.As Special Projects Manager, responsible for generating and executing fundraising/sponsorship acquisitions as assigned. Successfully raised close to $1 Million for the NAACP National Convention.

Served on senior management team and participated in organizational development. Managed the solicitation and maintenance of corporate partners, including strategic alliances with community and professional organizations. Prepared, implemented and managed the marketing plan and budget to achieve sales goals. Served as the liaison with the sales team in the identification and recruitment of corporate sponsors and support for key conventions and special events. Assisted in developing and implementing KCCVA’s community affairs plan and worked to support initiatives designed to assist and grow small businesses with a focus on minority and women owned business. Also, served as the initiator and the leader of cross cultural activities that solidified and ensured the KCCVA’s relevance and commitment to diversity within the Kansas City community.

As Chairman, led a group of 70 local business owners and community leaders who generated over $50,000 in new chamber memberships; Earned life time member status with The Chamber.
