Like many highly educated women of my generation who are also mothers, I have had numerous careers. They range from social services, politics, journalism, public education policy, and law to Jewish communal work and Israel related projects. My work experience includes public and private sectors as well as the non-profit world. I am an inveterate "connector" of people, with a wide network of individuals and organizations focused mainly in Greater Boston and Israel, but also more broadly in New England and nationally. Current passions include networking and functioning as a one-woman "speakers bureau" of Israelis, producing and moderating webinars, and publishing articles of interest to the Jewish community.I am a frequent contributor to "JewishBoston", the "digital home of Boston's Jewish community". Over the past three years I have published over 40 articles on topics related to Jewish life: Israel, Covid, sports, life transitions, and other matters of general interest. Some of these articles have been republished by Jewish journals in Rhode Island, Western Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Many have been designated "Top Picks" by the publication.Having recently concluded a role at the Israeli Consulate of New England as Director of Community Relations, I seek to continue making meaningful connections with the goal of educating the public about "Israel beyond the headlines." Israel as one of the world's most multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-religious societies may well be the most misunderstood nation in the world. I'd like to continue to play a role in telling its more nuanced story. I am also well versed in all aspects of of contemporary Jewish life including Holocaust education and interfaith issues, Diaspora/Israel relations, challenges of diversity and pluralism and engaging the next generation. I'm high energy, intellectually curious, empathic and motivated to educate and raise awareness onward and upward!
