I am in the unique position of being the Director of Education for one of the newest undergraduate institutions in England, MK:U, based in Milton Keynes and launched in 2021. In this role I am responsible for the development and delivery of all education provision. My role involves; leading the Education team; designing and developing the Learning & Teaching approach; ensuring that we are delivering to MK:U's cutting edge ethos; delivering in a digitally enabled environment; and ensuring a high quality student experience. I work with all elements of the MK:U team to ensure that we are delivering a future-orientated and inclusive educational establishment.MK:U is the undergraduate part of Cranfield University, where I am Professor in Education. I am a member of Cranfield's University Executive Forum and hold a seat on Senate. I represent MK:U on Education Committee, a sub-committee of Senate, and on numerous other senior and leadership committees. I work across Cranfield to ensure that MK:U has the resources it needs and to feedback the innovative learnings from MK:U into Cranfield.My primary research focus is on tertiary education. I hold a PhD in Management, focusing on Board Leadership, from Cass Business School, City University London. I also hold an MA in Academic Practice, a Masters in Research and an Executive MBA. In August 2023 I was awarded Principal Fellow of the HEA (AdvanceHE).After 11 years work experience first in Business Continuity then Organisational Strategy, I moved to an academic position at Cass Business School, City University London. During my working career I have worked internationally, including 8 months in Australia. I have consulted to, and worked for, a number of internationally renowned organisations.
