I am an organised and highly focused individual with years of experience in TV production and archival research.Having graduated with a BA of second class honours in Film and Television Broadcasting with French in 2014, I have maintained a strong presence in the television sector for the last ten years.I've worked on all manner of live and pre-recorded television broadcasts including Six Nations Rugby, Champions League, news bulletins, general elections, referenda and light entertainment.In recent times I've worked in depth with the news archive team in Virgin Media Television in what is a fast-paced and highly-pressurized role. Together, we've been developing a new digital archive as part of a large digitization project of footage spanning 1998 to the present day.

A highly-pressurized and ever-evolving role. I aid the curation of a television news archive spanning 26 years. I work to strict deadlines which include live news bulletins, so accuracy and efficiency is a must. Duties include:-archiving of news and sport packages and b-roll including the input of detailed metadata-editing and archiving using Avid Media Composer and Media Central Cloud-sourcing and ingesting appropriate archive footage for news and sport-sourcing suitable footage for internal documentaries-selling footage to external production companies including RTE, BBC, Netflix and Sky. This includes costings, editing, footage transfer, licence agreements and invoicing.-aid the progression of a significant footage digitization project covering nearly 20 years of archive. This was funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, and is an enormous task that requires accuracy, patience and in-depth knowledge of current affairs, modern Irish and European history, and sport.
