While at Jacobs, I gained experience in process design, commissioning and validation for a number of biotechnology projects. I worked as part of multi-disciplinary teams on projects for various pharmaceutical companies, which included process, automation, piping, architectural, document control and procurement disciplines. As a Process Design Engineer, I collaborated with various clients, vendors, engineers/technicians and other stakeholders to ensure a coherent end product was delivered to the client, on time, within budget and according to specification. I was selected for various secondments to major pharmaceutical facilities at client sites including Amgen and MSD. I was selected to join the Jacobs Process Design team in Paris, France. My responsibilities included the development of System User Requirements Specifications, Enquiry specifications, Clean Utilities P&IDs at design stage and various master documents.I visited various vendor facilities within Ireland and abroad to carry out Equipment Testing to ensure compliance with design and regulations. I liaised with other Jacobs offices and co‐ordinated workshare between Jacobs Dublin and Jacobs New Dehli.I also completed the 3 year graduate development program.

Secondment Amgen, Dun Laoghaire- I was the commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) system owner for 2 new systems in the new PM3 facility- I managed a multi-workstream functional and cycle development project, including planning, testing, & execution, all within a regulated environment and operational plant.- I generated and approved validation documentation to meet project milestones.- I reviewed executed documentation to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria and Good Document Practice GDP.

During my internship, I carried out research to analyse non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in order to develop a technology based on mesoporous silicon (PSi). PSi as a drug delivery vehicle has been proven to enhance the bioavailability of poorly-soluble drugs on oral drug delivery.
