With over 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, my diverse background spans roles in operations, education, sales and marketing, and various support functions.My hospitality journey began in South Africa, initially in student recruitment for a tertiary education institution, moving on to lecturing and campus management. I even obtained a qualification as a Field Guide! I left for a short while to manage an Eco Lodge, actively involved in raising its standards to achieve a coveted 5-star rating. This hands-on experience allowed me to refine my skills and mentor my team, putting my theoretical knowledge into practice.Returning to International Hotel School, I took on a Sales and Marketing management role, promoting the industry to young talent and contributing to the overall business expansion. During this time my family relocated to New Zealand, and in 2016, after 15 years of annual visits to NZ, I made the life-changing decision to follow my heart and call this remarkable country home.Joining Millennium Hotels and Resorts, I starting in the Corporate Sales team, gaining valuable insights into local businesses and the hospitality industry. Later, I embraced the opportunity to support the HR team, developing a comprehensive understanding of the organization and its exceptional people.I am thrilled to be in a recruitment role, leveraging my expertise to attract and select the very best individuals for the Millennium family.
