In addition to my responsibilities as a Vendor Manager and Team Lead, I• Independently developed a new API for a solicitation management application, which was deployed early and without interruption of service to clients, proving my ability to learn new technologies and accomplish tasks on my own. Technologies: Java, WSDL/SOAP, JBoss EAP, Maven, Jenkins, SWM, Rational.• Learning Hadoop through hands on experience. Installed Hadoop locally on personal computer.• Leading the Unix to Linux migration for data warehouse ETL applications.• Data warehouse ETL development lead and resource manager for all all phases of project lifecycle from requirements analysis through deployment. In addition to my responsibilities as lead UI developer, I was responsible for:• Over arching architecture of applications by being knowledgeable of strategic direction, looking for opportunities to move towards those targets with each project, and leading my team in the adaptation of new standards and technologies during implementation. • Participation on a small team that prepared and presented a summary recommendation following the research of a Request for Information/Request for Proposal for a Campaign Management Sales and Marketing application: Infinium, Unica, and Teradata NCR. • Developed a large campaign management web application that includes displaying data in tree hierarchies with drill up and drill down capabilities and complex wizard which composed SQL dynamically, depending on criteria selected within the navigation of the wizard. Technologies: Java/Struts, JSP, WebSphere, Oracle and Teradata.• Responsible for the infrastructure, design and development of a hybrid MVS – Unix solution from an MVS only environment. The new system included the addition of a Web UI that allowed clients to import data and activate or suspend processes, and view batch process statistics. • Developed and maintained the UI portion of a promotion tracking system using Power Builder versions 4 - 6.5, Business Objects 4.1, Visual Basic for Applications, Query Man, FTP and Teradata. The UI consists of 3 interacting user interfaces, mainframe processing, and Business Objects. These applications access and maintain data in over 250 tables and views, and require an extensive knowledge of SQL. • Provided direct client support through application help desk, data tracking and analysis and ad hoc reporting.• Designed, developed and supported a Business Objects Plug-In application in PowerBuilder to allow clients to perform functions not available within Business Objects itself.• Assumed the responsibility for completing the development of a planning system written in Excel VBA. Subsequently re-engineered this application in PowerBuilder.
