Collaborating with Zero Waste Scotland to update their existing Carbon Metric, quantifying the whole life carbon impacts of Scotland’s waste. This project aims to go beyond carbon and considers other environmental indicators to ensure the focus on reducing the carbon impact of waste does not shift the burden onto other important areas of the environment. Another element of this project is to extend beyond Scotland and adapt the Carbon Metric tool for international application.

During my third and fourth years I was a Unit driver (car, minibus and Cat C truck) I also gained organisational skills as an administration assistant in my fourth year, dealing with emails, phone calls and general secretarial jobs.I carried out assessments of leadership tasks for potential Army Cadet Force Instructors, chaperoned 15/16 year old girls while they were on work experience with the Army and was trusted with numerous tasks as a senior cadet, including long distance driving details and the management and training of junior cadets.
