Senior Sales Manager & Business Development
Looking for new challenges, I got immersed in the entrepreneural ecosystem asmarketing and sales director of a tech startup: Mybrana Network, an innovativecompany active in the field of advertising, developing solutions based on the useof augmented reality. As marketing and sales director, I trained the marketing and sales team myself anddesigned the go to market strategy working hand-by-hand with the CEO and beinginvolved in business development decision making.I created Mybrna’s customer network starting from scratch.Nowadays, Mybrana has more than 150 customers, mainly advertising, communicationand marketing agencies together with leading consumer brands.I have designed for all of them, together with their internal marketing teams, marketingand communication campaigns based on the use of AR.
Marketing, Sales, Sponsorship And Public Relations Manager
As a key figure of Rototom Sunsplash sales and marketing department, I was in charged of the festival’s external communications and public relations: sponsors, donors, institutions, collaborators, customers… creating trust relations that led to an improvement of the festival’s image, an increase of income and a strengthening of relations with customers, collaborators and institutions. As a festival’s representative, I travelled often internationally establishing bonds of trust with different players of the music industry both around Europe and Southamerica, promoting (amongother projects) Rototom’s international project “Rototom Reggae Contest”. I was also in charged of closing sponsorship agreements and designing sponsors’ marketing and visibility campaigns, in a way they were alligned with the festival’s marketing and communication plan and Rototom’s values.Further than that, I was the main responsible of executing projects such as La Cañamería congress and Rototom’s Club. La Cañamería was a marijuana congress and tradeshow inside the festival area. My work consisted on selecting the companies, associations, institutions or projects all around the world that represented the industry and convincing them to participate on our event. I managed full sales cycle on my own. At the same time coordinating with the Social Forum department to develop the Forum program for the Marijuana Congress (workshops, talks, etc). Rototom’s Club was an experiment in which the main objective was to create different areas inside the festival integrally managed by unique and experimental clubs from around the word and bring their vibes and authenticity to the festival. Again, my work in this project consisted on selecting this clubs and negotiating all conditions of the partnership, full sales cycle. During my 4 years at the Rototom Sunsplash I was working hand on hand with the Board Membersof the festival.
Sales Business Development
This project was quite a challenge: During a winter campaign, a colleague and I reopened together Aragon Hills Hotel & Spa, a luxury hotel with 152 rooms settled close to the Pyrenees, afterremaining closed for 3 years.I managed communications, marketing and sales and I was in charge of the reception team, established business relationships with tour operators, collaborators and institutions.Full sales cycle and PR.
Key Sales & Account Manager
As KAM I managed several of the most important accounts of the company, strengthening the relationship with our key clients and improving the accounts results.By this time I was already in charged of “new developments” department for the company at a national level, travelling 70% of my time to visit clients around the country and prospecting new products and markets.I started also negotiating with providers so that I had to regulary travel abroad: Germany, UK, Italy, Morocco, etc. When the crisis hitted our economy I decided to become an intra-entrepreneur by developing and implementing a beta project/system in which several of my clients peered to share their warehouses and transport vehicles in order to optimize deliveries so that we could as a companystill be competitive by selling to clients all around Spain and sending smaller deliveries than we were used to before the crisis. It was little bit more than a pilot but it is curious to see how this practices have expanded lately.
Junior Sales Manager
As junior sales manager of a chemical company I was provided with a small client databasethat I expanded by duplicating clients and triplicating turnover in 1 year.Further than that, I studied our warehouses delivery and return system and demonstrated with numbers it could be more efficient. We implemented a new delivery and packaging system due to mystudy regarding warehouse operations and improved our benefits per deliver.I created a network of customers and providers based on mutual respect and trust in favor of long term provider-customer relationship (It was not so common back then)Results:* Increase of the number of customers* Increase of sales* Increase of recurrent sales* Introduction of new products on the market* Opening of new markets* Consolidating existing ones * And not less important: an increase of customer’s satisfaction and an improvement of the company image.Implementing this strategy, market prospection, a lot initiative and motivation led to yearly meeting and exceeding the company goals and to an internal promotion in 2008 to a senior position.
