I have worked in varied fields including Grocery Retail, Light Manufacturing, Education (both mainstream and alternative), and Information Technology, and so have gained a wide variety of skills and knowledge. My customer services skills have been honed over years in customer-facing positions, alongside public speaking skills developed in the classroom and the fencing hall. My years involved in a transition classroom environment have honed my skills in classroom management, interpersonal relationship building, differentiated instruction, trauma-informed care, and a strong sense of empathy. I have had many opportunities to develop soft skills including time management, working under pressure, confidence, and flexibility.I have strong skills in Information Technology, specifically troubleshooting of issues in both software and hardware, as well as the repair of devices and imaging processes. I have been involved in numerous large-scale deployments, as well as a complete domain migration. In the IT field, more opportunities to deploy the soft skills I have developed arise every day.I value cooperation, learning by inquiry, and solid effort. This does not only apply in a classroom environment, but in every field I have worked. I lead a Historical European Martial Arts club in which we study swordsmanship through examination and interpretation of historic manuals and treatises. I deliver lessons and coaching based upon these manuals and experience in other martial arts using the educational skills I have gained in my teaching certification and classroom environments. I feel, with the above in mind, that I can provide excellent service to and be an excellent asset of the organization in which I work.
