I’m a telecommunication engineer with a strong background in electronic systems and wireless communications. Currently, I work as a R&D embedded systems engineer at Niko, where I develop IoT solutions for home automation electrical devices. Prior to my current position, I developed my professional career mainly at the B105 Electronic Systems Lab (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), where I carried out industrial, research and teaching activities, while simultaneously working towards the obtention of my PhD degree. I have more than eight years of experience working on different national and European R&D projects in consortium with private companies and other research centers. My main role in these projects was focused on the development of embedded electronic systems, from their conceptualization and requirements definition to their full hardware, firmware, and embedded software design and development. I specialize in C programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), low-power wireless communications, and electronic circuits and PCB design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and validation. I also have auxiliary experience in SDR platforms, FPGA-based systems design using VHDL, and other high-level programming languages such as C++, C#, MATLAB, and neural network development with Python.I also carried out a research career focused on the development of embedded systems and software-defined radio techniques to apply cognitive radio and edge computing paradigms to resource-constrained IoT end-devices. All my research results and contributions were published in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. I received my PhD degree from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2021. During my research career I collaborated as a teaching assistant in some subjects, particularly in digital electronics and embedded systems programming. I also supervised the final degree projects of multiple undergraduate and master’s degree students, and for 5 years I was the technical assistant of the BQ (Mundo Reader S. L.) scholarship program at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, being the link between the company's engineering team, the students, and the university.
