Rutuja Kulkarni is a Scientist II at Pharmaron. They possess expertise in cell culture, western blotting, pcr, elisa, microscopy and 44 more skills. They is proficient in French. Colleagues describe them as "I have had the privilege to work with Rutuja as a collegue in BioMorph lab. We have been working on tissue engineering projects for about 2 years. Rutuja is a disciplined, dedicated and focused individual. She has assisted me with my cell culture work for my research projects. We have also worked together on histology and immunohistochemistry techniques, minute details of which I must say I came to learn because of her observations. She is well versed with the techniques like histology, layer by layer nanoassembly, nebulization, ELISA, microscopy, etc. She is good at problem solving and has great patience to address the puzzling issues related to research. She is comfortable performing in groups as well as individually. She would be an asset to the organization she works with because of her skills and dedication." and "It gives me great pleasure in writing this letter of recommendation for Miss Rutuja Kulkarni. I have known Rutuja for last three years as she is working with me as a Project Trainee in our Stenotrophomonas maltophilia project. Rutuja has completed her M.Sc. with specialization in Biotechnology. In these qualifying examinations she scored excellent grade points indicating her in-depth knowledge in the area of modern biology. During her Master’s Thesis work, she joined National Center for Cell Science (NCCS) and started working on the project entitled ‘Cloning and characterization of Hemolysin III from clinically isolated Stenotrophomonas maltophilia’. She has successfully cloned Hemolysin III gene from the Stenotrophomonas maltophilia with 6X His protein at the C-terminus in expression vector using PCR cloning technique. These cloned plasmids have been transformed in BL21-DE3 and BL21-pLys-S competent cells for protein induction and purification. She characterized the purified Hemolysin protein by performing in vitro hemolysis assay, cytotoxicity assay and western blotting. Rutuja has excellent working hand in diverse molecular techniques. While working at NCCS, she got an opportunity to learn and apply basic molecular and cell biology techniques. She is a student with sincerity, integrity and virtuous mentality. She has tremendous potential that would be further nurtured with the proper exposure to methods and philosophy of biology research."
