As part of a restructuring, the decision was made to work with dedicated Area Mgt for each country and Club, which made me become responsible for the Dutch Operation, ANWB.In The Netherlands, being supported by a small team in our warehouse and two trucks, we service the Club. Key critical: JIT delivery, listen to the customer, understand their needs and act in accordance with that. Pro-active initiatives make the difference.

When my fellow Area Manager in The Netherlands left the company, I was responsible for the BeNeLux Operation.This Operation covers all three Clubs in this Region: ANWB, Touring and ACL.

As part of a new Project, in order to build a new business for Club Assist in Europe, I spent two summer seasons in France. My prime role was of course helping all dispatched stranded members from the European Clubs such as ANWB and ADAC. A second reason for my presence was of course to explore the future viability and points for improvement of this Service.

Besides The Netherlands and Belgium Operation, I also played a role in our French (roadside assistance) Operation and in other countries as well. Therefore, I changed to the formal role of project manager. In this new role I worked in NL, BE, LUX, Fr en PL

I started in March 2009. Together with my fellow Area Manager, I was the prime contact with ANWB. Given the fact that I was living in the southern part of The Netherlands, I was responsible for the two southern Regions. When we rolled out a similar program in Belgium, this became my responsibilty as well.

Working on a part time basis only, I was responsible for the set up of a new technical class at this school in The Hague. This project was completed by the end of this scholastic year.

I started working for ANWB, the Dutch Automobile Club, as a patrol in the The Hague area. After some six years I got the possibility and challenge to work as a trainee Team Manager in the same area, followed by a new role as Team Manager in the Utrecht area, where I was stationed for 2,5 years. Went through all stages and stations in the company, started as trainee Service Mechanic, took all possible external as well as in-Company education, eventually managing the Workshop and Service Dept.

During these five years I worked for several Companies in the Restaurant and Catering branche, from party- and business-catering to running a pilot Restaurant for Wendy's Hamburgers, after taking an in-Company Management training in London, UK.
