The bioreactor department of Xpand Biotechnology BV is now Scinus Cell Expansion BV!Scinus Cell Expansion B.V. specializes in the development of bioreactor technology that can be used for the cultivation of cells for cellular therapy. Its proprietary bioreactor technology allows users to culture over 1 billion cells, starting with minimum amounts of cells. The unique system boasts volume expansion from 100 mL to >1L, environmental control (pO2, pH and temperature) and online biomass monitoring. Scinus Cell Expansion BV also has extensive expertise in cell culture optimization.As Sr. R&D Scientist I am responsible for all scientific collaborations and dissemination activities. We participate in several European consortia for cell therapy applications (e.g. project Stellar (FP7) for chronic kidney disease and Music (H2020) for stress urinary incontinence). We also have partnerships with hospitals, industry and universities to further research in the cell therapy field.
