Dr Ruwayne Kock is a senior Organisational Psychologist who works as a practitioner and academic. He has extensive global experience in organisational learning and development, talent management, leadership development, executive coaching, organisation development, change management and organisation design. As a practitioner, he is a global people management specialist, with an outstanding 25 year track record of delivering results across national, regional, and global multinational companies by generating innovative human capital solutions to business challenges. He has experience leading culturally diverse teams across markets such as Europe, Middle East and Africa, and mobilising these teams around a common vision, aligned strategy, and practical plan to support business performance and growth. Ruwayne has broad research interests in organisational behaviour, management, and organisational studies. His specific research interests include authenticity at work and positive work identity of marginalised professionals in organisations. Ruwayne’s research work underwrites his empirical and practical understandings of characteristics that enable marginalised professionals and leaders to be their very best selves at work. He serves as faculty at both local and international business schools, senior research associate and research supervisor in Industrial and Organisational Psychology at local universities. Ruwayne also serves on the Management and Executive Committee of the Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa (SIOPSA) from 2019 to date. He is currently the SIOPSA President 2023/2024; co-convener of the Black IOP (BIOP) Caucus and the past Chair of the Transformation Portfolio at SIOPSA.
