Worked as a sub contractor to Lockheed Martin as a software engineer/Systems Integrator/Development Lead/SME/Operations Lead/COTS Architect. My team and I worked to develop a correspondence solution to a large scale enterprise system used to track disability cases. I was brought on board to learn and become the SME for a new agency initiate, enterprise COTS product called Thunderhead NOW. My job was to install, document, and integrate Thunderhead into the correspondence software system. While providing integration and architecture guidance to the agency during their enterprise integration. While working on this task I became the SME to agency on configuration, operation, and hacking the product, while developing best practice for maintenance, operations, and integration. As a development lead I worked directly with the developers, customers, and System Engineers to redefine and update requirement, limitations, and design imposed on the system through the purchase of the COTS product. Risk mitigation and rapid proof of concepts were required to complete the above tasks. As side products I developed and implemented many software development best practices, documented code, documented inspection procedures, and introduced/implemented a knowledge sharing process to disseminate environment and build information to the 300+ members of the team.
