You can gain insight into how events of the near and distant past influence our lives today. Digital preservation plays an important role at the National Archives. Our collection includes several petabytes of digital files. As a Preservation Officer, I am responsible for the development, implementation, dissemination and keeping up to date of our preservation policy, Preservation Watch and preservation practice.This requires an active role in national and international initiatives related to digital preservation. I am contact person for Persistent Identifiers in the Netwerk Digitaal Erfgoed (Dutch Digital Heritage Network), share knowledge on the Kennisnetwerk Informatie en Archief, and am board member of the Open Preservation Foundation.For publications and other achievements, see my public ORCID profile: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2351-1677.

1)The National Coordinators' Forum (NCF) ensures the coordination of the implementation of the strategies laid out by CLARIN's General Assembly.2) The Standing Committee for Technical CLARIN centres (Centers Committee) ensures consistence, coherence and stability of infrastructure services through decisions on implementation as well as coordination between centres and members.3) The CLARIN Committee for Legal Issues (Legal Committee) discusses legal problems and recommends solutions for CLARIN.

NOTaS (Nederlandse Organisatie voor Taal- en Spraaktechnologie) is the Dutch Organisation for Language and Speech Technology, representing the major research institutions and application developers in the Netherlands.As board member I contribute to NOTaS' vision, mission, strategy and management in order to realise NOTaS' goals of networking, lobbying and educating the market. As webmaster I maintain NOTaS' website and social media accounts. I am also part of the editorial board of NOTaS' HLT magazine DIXIT.

To develop and deliver bachelor and master degree courses related to software engineering (e.g. C, C++, Object Oriented Programming) within the Software and e-Business centre. This included becoming and being a Cisco (Java, Unix) and Microsoft (Windows) instructor, trainee supervision and module coordination. I obtained my PGCE here.

The provision of linguistic and software engineering consultancy. Important parts of my work here were the development of spell-checking software, trainee supervision and contributing to the company's professionalisation as a knowledge and change manager.
