Graduate Student Researcher
My dissertation work centered on the design and evaluation of drug mechanism-of-action and disposition in models of benign and malignant human disease. To address these mechanistic challenges in drug discovery and development; creative screening and characterization strategies were developed using modern and traditional biochemical, molecular, and pharmacological methods. Through these efforts, and cross discipline collaborations, I identified and characterized small molecule inhibitors of cMYC, VEGFR2, ADAM15, and PDGFR-Beta. A portion of these works were used in my dissertation entitled: The Regulatory Significance and Molecular Targeting of novel non-B-DNA Secondary Structures Formed From the PDGFR-Beta Core Promoter Nuclease Hypersensitivity Element
