Questionnaire designed to gather information on service from distributors, promotion and demonstration activities and consumer purchase patterns. Secondary data was gathered from the records available at the companyResearch Insight: Most of the retailers felt that the service of the distributor should be improved; many of them felt that the offers should reach them in time through proper media and awareness of value added services should be increased. Low frequency of the signal causing in-convenience to end consumers during peak hours, resulting in low utilizationOther findings: Most of the Retailers felt the offers and services were good and are well satisfied about overall service provided by the company. Targeting more on youth would help TATA DOCOMO to be the market leaderResearch Recommendations: Suggested the concept of sub-distribution via key retail outlets (KRO’s) to improve reach to the retailer, which improves sales and hence tower utilization ratios. Recommendation implemented by Zonal Manager in rural Visakhapatnam in full scale and pilot project implemented in urban Visakhapatnam. Recommended increasing advertisements invarious local media – both electronic and print to increase the brand awareness of DOCOMO highlighting the value added services and promotional offers on new activations. Suggested increasing frequency of the signal to achieve higher tower utilization
