Responsible for –(1) lead system engineering and full software lifecycle development of Java / Java EE / WebSphere -based web services to expose enterprise system functionality for integration with client applications using an enterprise service bus (ESB) architecture and open APIs;(2) development of framework for ESB -compatible web services to satisfy operational principles and non-functional requirements including security, performance, configuration management and operations;(3) development of framework components for service logging, and availability monitoring of system dependencies for improved service state management, reliability, observability, and diagnostics;(4) full software lifecycle development of Java / Spring -based micro services to support a substantial web-based single-page application;(5) ongoing maintenance and development of Java / Spring -based micro services;(6) data engineering and analytics related to the investigation of business issues including customer business risk (customer stress testing, and common or related party risks) using Python and Neo4J;(7) analysis of the legal frameworks relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and preparation of internal training relating to GDPR as it applies to the software development process including privacy by design;(8) analysis of risk management and parametric cost estimation techniques as they relate to the development of business critical software systems;(9) preparation of project plans, and technical activity plans for multiple components and developers; and(10) provision of training in software development, software architecture and unit, component and system integration test methodology.

Responsible for –(1) full software lifecycle development of strategic online and back office financial services systems and products using a variety of open source technologies based on JVM-based languages including Java and Scala;(2) security information and event management;(3) disaster recovery planning;(4) ongoing maintenance and development of plugins to support integration of third party software with APIs published by the company;(5) ongoing maintenance and development of API documentation, integration samples and test environments;(6) analysis of the legal frameworks relating to money laundering, preparation of documentation to support the business risk assessment process and preparation of anti-money laundering policies and procedures; and(7) preparation of legal research in connection with financial service products, and intellectual property.

Responsible for –(1) full software lifecycle development of retail business and information management software to support online retailing and software-as-a-service based business models using a variety of technologies including those based on the Microsoft Windows based platforms, as well as JVM-based platforms;(2) establishment and development of an online business based on in-house technologies, trading from 2001 to 2008;(3) ongoing maintenance and development of the company's network including development, user acceptance testing and production network environments using a variety of operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Solaris and FreeBSD;(4) preparation of research notes in connection with complex, high risk legal disputes relating to a quasi-partnership legal arrangement together with ongoing litigation support;(5) preparation and maintenance of management accounting records and employment contracts of service.

Responsible for –(1) reverse engineering and documentation of business critical software responsible for the management and import of candidate curriculum vitae to achieve independence from incumbent yet departing employees;(2) ongoing development and maintenance of business critical software and network infrastructure; and(3) research and development of new natural language processing technologies to plot candidate career trajectories to improve the quality of candidate search algorithms.

Responsible for –(1) full lifecycle software development of complex business logic and user interfaces to support the travel company's pre-departure change management systems;(2) integration of early PC-based bespoke client-server CRM solution with mainframe-based selling system to meet business requirements;(3) development of automated systems responsible for the reliable distribution of company monies to customers in the context of pre-departure change compensation amounting to approximately £15m annually.
