Responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of the Network Assurance Reporting Database, associated system elements and related operational data attributes. Responsible for the development user tools and data requirements. Performs a lead technical role on various network projects determining platform requirements for the ongoing development of MTS Network Performance & Quality.In addition, this position is responsible for the day to day operation of the Network Assurance Reporting Platform, including manual & automated report generation and from time to time detailed analysis of data collected.

The position of Network Services IT Systems Administrator (NSIT Admin) involved the installation, administration, maintenance and support of various network elements and servers used within the MTS Cellular and Pre-Paid Long Distance infrastructure. Server architectures supported:• Intel servers & SPARC servers• Direct Attached Storage & Network Attached StorageServer Operating Systems supported:• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4/5• Solaris 8/9• SCO UnixServer Database servers supported:• Oracle 9/10g• MySQL 5.1• PostgreSQLDuties were not limited to a support role, other duties performed were;• Design and implementation of the database used to store cellular device information from the manufacturers as well as their respective load jobs/scripts.• Development of the Cellular Pre-Paid Switch Provisioning client.• Development and implementation of SMS Short-code marketing database and application.

The position of Lead Operational Analyst involved the development of reports using business intelligence software (Cognos, JasperSoft) as well as the creation of custom reporting solutions; web applications written in Java, Javascript, PHP and Perl. Other responsibilities of the Lead Operational Analyst included, but not limited to:• Regular Key Performance Indicator reporting to the CRTC. • Operational Performance Reporting for MTS Regional Operations. • Development of Regional Operations self-serve reporting web application. • Data Modelling and Analysis of data from various sources to be loaded in to the data warehouse.• Departmental liaison involved with projects affecting Regional Operations.• Validation of data and SQL queries created by the other Operational Analysts.• Quarterly report relevance and documentation review.
