-Responsible for advising and servicing the needs of newly enrolled students regarding their Title IV funding options.-Guided students on how to best complete the FAFSA successfully to meet the F.A. deadlines-Handled repacking for re-entry, transfers, retakes, and scholarships.-Assisted the Director of Financial Aid in monitoring Federal/State programs including Federal Work Study, Cal Grant, Federal student loan counseling, and Quality Assurance of all F.A. files.

-Conducted intensive college prep workshops advising first-generation college-bound students about the college admissions process and exploring college options.-Provided Individual Academic Planning (IAP) to assist students in meeting the entrance requirements for the CSU and UC systems-Assisted with college applications and personal statements, completion of the FAFSA and scholarship searches.

Managed private loan application process resulting in loan certification on an individual student basis.-Monitored student academic progress to meet financial aid eligibility.-Performed analysis on family contribution and aid index for campus-based funds and awards such funds. Keeps informed of changes in state and federal funding programs.-Maintained confidentiality of financial aid files, including funds management of financial aid packages processed.

-Responsible for creating and presenting admissions reports and executive reports to track leads, lead sources, flow, trends, and assignments to Admissions Representatives.-Administered school entrance exams, as well as processed all new enrollment agreements for new and returning students. Ensured accuracy of all enrollment information for incoming students, and prepared files for approval from the Executive Director.-Collected past due payments from active, non-active, past graduates, and dropped students. Arranged payment plans with students on an individual basis.-Operated front desk which included greeting clientele, answering and directing telephone inquiries to the proper individuals, sorting and distributing incoming mail, and providing assistance to staff, faculty, and students.

-Advised student group leaders on an individual, walk-in basis on the various University guidelines and funding strategies.-Facilitated student group orientations alongside University group advisors and professional staff.-Served as a campus resource to 900+ student groups, individual students and the general public. Including scheduling appointments for the Attorney for students and making outside referrals to various agencies.

-Organized and facilitated the monthly Leader’s Edge Discussion group of approximately 50-75 students per session. Including arranging the Alumni speakers, arranging information packets for the participants, and preparation for the dinner provided at the Discussion groups.-Maintained records on Alumni contacts and relations via e-mail, telephone, and individual meetings.-Tracked program expenses and budget in a standard Excel spreadsheet.
