His original music compositions created the "America Standing Tall" World Tour, where he led "The Front Porch Country Band" in 2004 on their 21,000 mile concert tour across The People’s Republic of China. The band performed to sold-out crowds for weeks as arena headliners on China’s greatest stages. He composed, produced and staged the1-hour television broadcast, "Christmas Once Upon A Time" and also wrote and produced, "Christmas Of The King - The Christmas CANTATA."For decades, Gathman served on the faculty of Susquehanna University (ranked #1 among regional liberal arts colleges in the northeastern USA in national surveys), where he taught in the management department for The Sigmund Weis School of Business. He is founder of "The Campaign For Life In America" and served as the campaign's national director.He and his wife, Katharine, reside in the college town of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. They are the parents of four grown children, Andrew, Laura, Carolyn and Thomas – and nine grandchildren.
