Lead Process Engineer for an Ethylene and Ethylene Oxide(EO) Plant. Work experience includes improving the safe operation of plant, technical service, participate in PHA, commissioning of the new Ethylene and EO plant and preliminary design and efficiency improvements. Some of the improvements include: improved the selectivity of EO catalyst by >9% ,reduction in nuisance alarms of up to > 450,000, installation of EO detectors and cameras in the EO plant to improve the response time in an EO emergency, recommendations for a blast resistant control room, , and recommendations for an EO Process Hazard Analysis. Additionally a participating member of the American Chemistry Council EO Safety Task group including survey of the industry for EO emissions technology. Other duties include the technical and financial optimization of the Ethanol to Ethylene and EO plant.

Senior Process Engineer in design for the Lycra business of INVISTA. Responsibilities include: Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Process Descriptions, equipment specifications, hydraulic modeling, and relief devices, and FEL presentations .

Process Design Engineering for KBR Inc. Onshore which includes Refining, Petrochemicals, and Chemicals.

Design engineering for Honeywell's Central Engineering group. Projects included Electronic Chemical product quality and throughput increases in Sulfuric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Cyclohexanone, and IPA. Projects ranged up to $ 20 million.

International Sales and Management of Ethylene Oxide and other catalysts for Scientific Design Company Inc. Scientific Design Company, Inc. is a SABIC - Süd-Chemie partnership company and is one of the world's leading licensors of process technology and leading providers of Ethylene Oxide and other catalysts. Sold EO Catalyst in China and the Americas. Sold first batch of second generation EO Medium Selectivity Catalyst.

Senior Process Engineer. Provided material and heat balances, created Process Flow Diagrams, created P&ID's, and utitlized HYSYS model. Developed a distillation method for recovery for Di Butyl Ether used in making catalyst.

Led Process Design support including Front End studies and Process Design packages for Refinery units. The projects included:* Tulsa Diesel Hydrotreater Outside Battery Limits Process Design Package $100 MM* Tulsa Mobil Source Air Toxins (MSAT) feasibility study. Reviewed options to reduce bezene in gasoline using a reformate splitter to meet environmental regulations. Cost was ~ $ 30 MM.

Managed capital budget ($ 20 MM/Y) and process improvement projects for the Cumene, Phenol, BPA, Propylene, Ethylene, and Ethylene Oxide units. Projects included:* Led expanding Splitter Production ($3MM capital and $ 1MM/Y in savings) by retraying a propylene splitter.* Coordinated a team to replace the Cumene catalyst and make upgrades to RFG treating to increase the life of the catalyst by 50%..

* Directed plant improvement projects including new 450 MM#/Y Propylene Splitter reducing capital $ 30 MM while expanding production by over 50%.* Led Ethylene Oxide expansion and pipeline supply to a third party inside the Marcus Hook Refinery. Capital cost of the project was ~ $ 15MM.* Co-let team to provide the technology assessment for the acquisition of the Allied Frankford Phenol plant * Led team to review converting the Philadelphia FCC to Deep Catalytic Cracking which was $10's millions in capital cost.
