I am a problem solver. There is a certain satisfaction that comes when you finally find the solution to a difficult challenge or bug. I am constantly looking for ways to improve whatever I am working on.I have a passion for creating the most efficient and useful software possible. I enjoy developing everything from the client-side HTML, CSS, and Javascript to the application architecture and database schema. Most of my recent experience is with Coldfusion, but I am currently re-architecting our Coldfusion platform on to a Ruby on Rails platform. On the database side, I have experience with MSSQL, Postgres and MongoDB. When I am using a technology, I am dedicated to becoming a master with it. It's not enough to know just how to use it, I need to know why it's used and how it works beneath the hood. One of the reasons I enjoy working with open source software is that I can dig into the source and see exactly how something is implemented. My passion for efficiency also extends beyond the software. I push for process changes that will streamline my development environment, speed up development time and reduce the possibility for errors.
