About Rachel Leung, Msc
I completed my Master of Science degree at the University of Toronto in the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. My research focused on the hit-to-lead phase of drug discovery and involved the screening and characterization of novel compounds for the treatment of glucocorticoid-induced diabetes. Specifically, I assessed their potency, selectivity, and metabolic stability using in vitro assays, and characterized the pharmacokinetic profile of the lead drug in vivo using rodent models.Previously, I worked in the Analytical Research and Development department (now Analytical Sciences) at Sanofi Pasteur, where I was involved in the development and qualification of novel immunoassays and cell-based assays. My expertise lies in drug discovery, assay development, and immunology.I am always happy to connect with fellow researchers! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about my work or if you'd like to have a coffee chat.
