My name is Rowan Stuart. I am Currently a Batten Fellow of the Batten Honors College of Virginia Wesleyan University. During my time at this institution I have founded multiple student organizations (The Business Club and Fishing Clubs), Served as Team Lead for the VWU ethics bowl team, Team Lead for the IEN Investment Team, Student Government Vice President, and Marketing Director for the Marlin Chronicle just to name a few of my activities. I have completed a study abroad in Japan where I was a special advisor to the student government. While in Japan, I have put a large focus on learning about international business and working across cultural lines. I am passionate about communication, especially in small groups and teams. I have encouraged my peers to find their voices through activities such as deliberative dialogues using my moderator training, community service, and the previously mentioned ethics bowl. My future goal is to get into a top program for law. While I intend enter the field of law in a firm or corporation to start, I would use my expertise and leverage to gain an additional masters and run my own private equity and consulting firm. My end goal would be to achieve a CFO title at a fortune 500 or grow my firm into a fortune 500.
