Our mission at Conquest Maps is to help 1 million people travel more by providing products that inspire and encourage them to set, track, and achieve their travel goals.We still have a long way to go to hit that goal. But it all started with one map.Shortly after getting married in 2012, my wife and I simply wanted to hang a nice map on our wall to plan out where we wanted to travel and keep track of where we've been. Upon finding no satisfactory options, the Industrial Designer in me went to work. In the spring of 2013, the prototype was done and I presented it to my wife as a gift. While it might not have been perfect at the time, it was the beginning.Starting as a true side hustle and receiving my focus only on the nights and weekends, Conquest Maps went from existing as piles of frame components, boxes, and push pins stashed at the end of my bed in our one-bedroom apartment in 2013, to taking over my entire basement in our new house in the winter of 2014. Over the next couple years, the basement filled up with new equipment, inventory, and employees, finally overflowing into our garage. It was when were having pallets of raw materials delivered onto my driveway that it became evident that the time to get even more serious had arrived.I left my career as an Industrial Designer in the summer of 2016 and got set up in a 2400 sq. ft. commercial space just in time for the holiday rush. Since then, we have continued to grow and invest into new materials, processes, and people. Our team is now approximately 15 strong, operating out of 13,000 sq. ft., having helped roughly 60,000 people in over 60 countries track their travels.In 2021, we were fortunate to have earned a place on the Inc 5000 list, and we don't plan on slowing down any time soon. As the saying goes: if you're not growing, you're dying. And that goes not only for business, but for life.
