Through collaboration with leadership across our core business functions, I have expanded the horizon of our environmental focus area beyond climate by reflecting nature as a theme. These efforts ensure Zurich has a holistic approach to environmental matters, strengthening our ability to achieve key strategic objectives and targets. • Group success requires local alignment. I serve as a central point of contact on key topics, guiding, informing and steering local units to ensure efforts are aligned with Group where necessary. My efforts serve not only to facilitate local strategic delivery but minimise reputational impacts to the Group arising from conflicting actions and messaging across the organisation. • As an insurer, risk management is a critical capability. My efforts have served to significantly strengthen Zurich's understanding of the potential impacts of climate risk over medium to long time horizons. Having led our initial project-based Group level scenario-based climate risk analysis, I have, through influence and collaboration, driven efforts to establish this as a 'business as usual' process, leaving Zurich well positioned to understand strategic implications of climate change – including for our supply chain - and meet customer, regulator and investor expectations. Through collaboration with core business functions to define a suite of key metrics and embed these in our strategic business review process, my efforts elevated the focus of sustainability related strategic delivery to the highest level of organisational management. • Incentivisation is key; having identified core metrics to track and monitor strategic delivery, I led efforts to identify suitable ESG metrics for potential inclusion in Remuneration, something finally achieved in 2024.
