I worked at SYBORGS Lab on their evolutionary algorithms project. I contributed original theory and MATLAB scripts which evaluated evolution’s ability to generate higher fitness under various fitness landscapes.

In a small team, developed a novel MATLAB wakefield simulation and a virtual aircraft autopilot. Played a pivotal role in implementation of aerodynamic theory regarding wakefield formation into MATLAB and in the implementation of numerical and control methods in the aircraft autopilot. Directly structured key scripts and functions necessary to successfully achieve overall project goals, utilizing and designing vectorization techniques, innovative run-time optimization methods, cross-platform variable communication via Simulink and FlightGear, and more. Wakefield simulation lift values fell under 9% error with respect to actual flight data. Aircraft autopilot was able to automate an otherwise manual tuning process, and do so while achieving flight states to well less than 1% error from desired flight behavior.

Worked with Mr. Coffman and Dr. Barooah on designing a control system that allows air conditioners, water heaters, and other on-off household devices to act as a battery to allow for more unstable renewable energy to be used in power plants through the use of Markov models, stochastic control, and networked control at DiCE Lab.

Assisted in teaching a UF undergraduate calculus 1 class.

We worked on making a pill that tests the pH of dolphin stomachs to find ulcers.
