Genesis Project 1 is a family owned mental health agency. Here I am a Community Support Team (CST) team lead. My job is to ensure that all my clients are doing well psychologically as they seek to make better connections to community resources. There are two intervention specialists that I work with to help the client get what he or she needs.

The PhD program in Jungian and Archetypal Studies continues the depth psychological work of C.G. Jung and James Hillman. The program seeks to promote and implement these ideas in a variety of occupational disciplines.

During my substance abuse practicum, I provided individual and group counseling to clients in the outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment settings. My client caseload varied in types of addiction including: alcohol, drug, and gambling addictions. Alcoholics Anonymous and Gamblers Anonymous were important group interventions, especially since the group meetings incorporated the spiritual component of therapy.

During my therapy practicum, I provided individual counseling to adult clients with physical and/or mental disabilities. For example, job development was a focus in promoting independence for this clientele. My skill in the demonstration of empathy was utilized here because of my shared experience with a physical disability, which helped certain clients to relax during their individual counseling sessions. During my community service practicum, I worked with three housing projects i.e. 1. Cabrini, 2. Trumbell, and 3. Lowden. I was entrusted with the task of forming new community networks with other social agencies. Resident files were checked on a monthly basis to ensure that important documentation was included. Also, I conducted research on ways to prevent school violence among child and adolescent residents as well on Medicare coverage for senior residents.
