About Ryan Aday, Pe

NOTE: Do not come after me with paperwork Systems Engineering jobs. I am actively avoiding any roles involved with confining myself in a box shuffling documents. I became a PE to avoid this- I paid my dues.Hey, I'm a current Design & Manufacturing Engineer II at RTX (formerly Raytheon). I'm also a Master’s graduate from Georgia Tech, but I don't really consider myself done with education- there's always something to learn!I'm primarily interested in aerospace, automotive design, additive manufacturing, and robotics. From my experience working for my startup and with FSAE Racing Teams, I've gained proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, Inventor, and most other CAD software. I'm familiar with FEA and adaptive design, primarily using Ansys for FEA/CFD work- although I also use NX's Nastran engine from time to time. As a team member, I value cooperation and a strong work ethic. I've used TeamCenter and cPDM to improve multidisciplinary efficiency between team members.I'm familiar with Six Sigma/LSS/CORE and the fundamentals behind lean manufacturing techniques for good quality control, as is necessary for any serious manufacturing environment.I've also learned how to code in MATLAB, Java, C++, VBA, and Python given their importance in my projects. I'm also familiar with Verilog and VHDL for FPGA programming. It's also a great way to keep me fresh in an increasingly code-focused job market, not to mention automate my jobs!I also don't just design, manufacture, & code; like any engineer I have my hobbies. If you want to find me, my callsign's AC1PO!
