While working as a counselor, I was engaged in a variety of management roles. I would communicate with fellow staff members to set and adhere to schedules each week. I worked closely with upper level staff to ensure the campers needs were met, from general wellbeing to campers with special medical requirements. I also sought certification to lead activities that involved higher risk, including a high ropes course. Within this additional responsibility I was in charge of maintaining safety standards and working with the campers and staff to make sure they were followed.
