My first ever job I had was age 14 when I worked at McDonald's. I work there for about a year and a half and ended up quitting because the place made me miserable, but really enjoyed it as my first summer job. My second job I've had is being a referee for US Soccer, which I still do till this day. It's something that I like to do and I'm surrounded by the sport that I've played and loved my entire life. Only annoying part is when parents yell at you but that comes with any job almost. Next job I had was a retirement home called Ann's Choice. I worked there for about a year and ended up quitting because I was falling behind in my school work due to the demanding hours of the job. The most recent job I've had was a gas station attendee for Giant Food Stores. I was also a cashier for Giant before that. I needed an academic leave for the upcoming school soccer season, and they refused to give it to me like they do for all of their other college students, so I left there because I felt it was unfair I wasn't allowed to receive what everyone else does. They only did it because they were short staffed at the gas station too. Currently don't have a job besides reffing when I can because I'm a student athlete at Bucks County Community College. It's very difficult to balance getting to class, getting your assignments finished, practice and or games everyday, and a job all at the same time. Once winter break is here, I'll be looking for a more permanent part time position.
