In my first year as Director, Ewing Subaru of Plano went from top ten spot in the district to 7th. After being successful in selling cars, I was reluctant to take the opportunity offered as Finance Manager. However, the nealry 3 years I spent in finance gave me all the knowledge and sucessfull processes that make up the front and back end of retail auto sales. It helped for the future to raise the bar as a Sales Manager. During my time in finance, I developed relations with underwritters and funding agents, learned loan process, submission and approval, dealer compliance, and creating common ground with clientele in a more timely manner. New to the car business I quickly utilized my customer service experience and training from Nordstrom to my clientele. I became "Subaru-Certifed" within the first week and emersed myself in product knowledge and standard features of each model and trim. My first month in the car business I sold 12 and by the second I sold 20/20+ consistantly from month to month. I bogarted all the Salesman of the Month Awards and still have all the appreciation certificates for those accomplishments. Within a year and a half of selling I was promoted to Finance Manager and was given the opportunity to attend auto finance school for training and compliance.

Nordstrom, at the time was the pinnacle in customer service. I was given extension training all through my tenure with the company. I learned all the tools and proper demeanor for successfull retail and client relations. I really enjoyed my time working at Nordstrom but was looking for better opportunities to grow over the upcoming years. I made Nordstrom "Allstar" and "Pace-Setter" year after year with the company.
