Early in my career I started out in the natural gas industry as an electrician and well attendant. I was able to utilize my electronics and computer knowledge to start up a telemetry system for gas flow on the gas wells. By having this type of system we could monitor gas flow and be able to check the status of each we’ll, instead of driving around 24/7 to check on them. Later, I left to use my skills in the cellular industry. I worked on cellar equipment at a component level. Trouble shooting issues and working with engineers on development of new technologies. Then, I went and pursued a position in the nuclear commercial field, servicing nuclear power plants. I was able to use my current skills in electronics and computers and was to grow and learn new skills that would help me excel in this type of industry. As my skills in electronics and computers expanded and my skills in commercial nuclear grew in non-destructive testing, such as eddy current, really helped me to be able to move into a role at BWXT. With the compounded skills that I acquired and my education really prepared me to excel in Quality Control & Operations. I was able to design inspection methods, forms, consult with our customer, work with great people to overcome technical issues, installation of equipment, etc. By having all these resources & a support system that are available to me has really made an impact on me to complete my bachelors degree in Business emphasizing in Project Management & Analysis. Most of all, I could have not done this without having my family to support me. Thank you
