This role involves medical and consumer device design services and consultation. Requires development in projects controlled by the 13485 QMS standard and the medical product design required to meet 60601-1 safety requirements. Tasks include Altium Schematic Capture, Altium PCB layout, Hardware selection, Electrical requirement definition, contribution to a device history file (DHF), embedded development (C/C++), prototyping test definition and execution, project planning. engineering consultation, revision control, market research, and sales support.

Project based electrical design. Projects incorporate many fields fields including medical, consumer goods, and industrial tools.

Position required providing support to troubleshoot failure of test components and equipment during new product validation. This also included the management of logistics for continuous software revision and functionality testing, as well as the development of new testing rigs and simulations.

Duties included C.T. post-assembly testing/Quality control. Gained experience with nonconforming material procedures, in depth DHR creation and standards, and defect troubleshooting methods.

Responsibilities ran the gambit from assembly to Quality testing toeventually product refurbishing. Precise through hole and SMT soldering was required for most tasks. I became familiar with processes and standards involving both medical and high voltage electronics.

Job included long term reliability testing of SCAG industrial equipment. Metal shop skills and technical writing were required.
