Provided operational support to Naval Air Station Fallon. Collateral duties included Career Counselor, Medical Petty Officer, Muster Petty Officer, Squad Leader and Administrative Petty Officer.

Functioned as a navigational plotter ensuring safe passage of a multi-million dollar warship through National and International waters. Maintained communication between the Combat Information Center and the Navigational Bridge regarding tactical and navigational concerns. Maintained communication via high-frequency (HF) and very high-frequency (VHF) bands with numerous warships and support ships during wartime operations. Operated surveillance and altitude radars' in analyzing and identifying civilian and military aircraft using Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) and associated equipment. Applied a thorough knowledge of doctrine and procedures applicable to CIC operations contained in U. S. Navy Instructions and Allied or U.S. Navy Publications and procedures necessary for radar navigation contained in Naval Oceanographic Office publications.
