CurrentMaintain an orderly and safe environment while managing up to 20 high school students per classroom in a shop setting. Completing administrative tasks such as scheduling, partnerships with employers, budget management, utilization of resources, inventory and ordering of tools and equipment, maintaining appropriate shop certifications. Building relationships with vendors for tools and maintenance. Setting clear, concise and individualized goals for student achievement in the classroom setting. Evaluating student performance through project based learning, classroom assignments and assessments while maintaining key communication amongst parents and students throughout the year. Ensuring that each student is competent in basic auto repair skills by the end of the school year. Such as, maintenance and light repair, brakes, steering and suspension, manual transmissions and drive trains and electrical work with a focus in job placement
