I stayed with Tranmere until I was 11.Represented Wirral School Boys Under 11’s, Under 14’s and Under 15’s. I was awarded Player of the Year Award all 3 years.I joined Chester City FC under 11’s to under 15’s until the club folded.I was invited back to Tranmere Rovers on a 6 week contract. We played a game against Wigan Athletic,who showed a lot of interest in me. I was approached by Dave Watson to go for trials at Wigan Athletic. I was at Wigan Athletic for 3 weeks, I was offered the 2 year YTS Scholarship Programme. In the first year of my scholarship with Wigan Athletic I was selected for every Youth Team game, I never missed a training session or any matches. I was also called upon to play in the reserve team regularly. I scored 6 goals in the season, including an important goal in the Youth Cup at the DW Stadium against Stoke City.In the second year of my scholarship, I was selected as Team Captain, this involved motivating the players and being a team leader, I did this very well. I feel I had a very good season this year. I also played several times in the reserve team, I scored 7 goals in the season.Buckley Town. I had a good season with Buckley Town, scoring 6 goals, and picked up Managers Player of the Year.In my first season at Rhyl FC I played every match, scored 5 goals. Awarded Managers Player and Players Player of the year.
