A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Ryan Atkinson received a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Missouri Western State University. He is entering his second season as General Manager, spending the previous three seasons as Assistant General Manager and Director of Team Player Development. Atkinson was formally responsible for player education and programming throughout the season. Atkinson served as the team’s Director of Basketball Operations for three seasons (2013-16) before becoming Assistant General Manager. Atkinson owns nearly a decade of NBA G League experience, including two seasons as the Director of Basketball Operations with the 2013 NBA G League Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers and one season with the Reno Bighorns as the team’s Assistant Video Coordinator/Basketball Operations. Atkinson began his career with the Golden State Warriors, Oakland Athletics, and Prestige Sports International sports agency.
