I lead the development of a web-based, 3D graphics engine for remotely viewing and editing large radiation therapy datasets. This technology is at the heart of Accuray's newly announced Online Adaptive product and gives oncologists the ability to be more accurate with their cancer care.

SlicerDicer is a self-service reporting and content generation tool that clinicians and researchers use to investigate hunches, inform patient treatment, and optimize hospital operations. As part of the SlicerDicer developer team, I contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the application’s core infrastructure, such as the on-the-fly SQL generation that powers searches in databases that can contain over 100 million patient records. In addition to development, I have the opportunity to meet with key customer stakeholders to discuss future developments and hear their needs. I also formally mentor two new developers and have been recognized for my strength in technical communication.

At Prellis Biologics, I was part of the engineering team developing a laser-based, high-resolution 3D bio-printing system designed to print functional human tissues and organs. My role required the production of hardware, software, CAD models, and integrated systems. For this work, I am listed as a co-inventor on a pending patent concerning the compositions and methods of printing vasculature and capillary beds.

Established in 2009, the True Entrepreneur Corps (TEC) fellowship brings 12 rising college juniors and seniors from across the country to the Bay Area to spend the summer with True Venture's portfolio companies. During my fellowship, I completed an engineering internship at Prellis Biologics. Additionally, I participated in weekly seminars hosted by True Ventures on entrepreneurship and venture capital investment.

At the Johnson Space Center, I researched and reported the capabilities and uses of photogrammetry for the launch of Exploration Mission-1 of the Space Launch System.

At the fluids lab, I programmed and integrated linear drives, conductivity probes, cameras, lasers, and velocimeters to collect convection, mixing, and wave data in a 30 meter wave tank.

Vaireco is a German based start-up specializing in remote solar panel inspection and photogrammetric surveying. At Vaireco, I created interactive and measurable, 2 mm resolution, photogrammetric models of a historic ship and building to be used for renovation.

At the Sosbey Microbiology Lab, I assisted in daily experimental set-up for a project to develop a rapid field-test for cholera.

At St. Paul's Hospital in Addis Abba, Ethiopia, I worked as part of a team of five to maintain and repair the hospital's medical equipment.

At LearnZillion, I provided just-in-time delivery of technically-edited and compiled math curriculum for distribution to K-8 classrooms across the United States.
