Notable accomplishments included leading an award-winning journal redesign, working with publisher’s art director to create a new visual style for all article types (ASHPE Silver Award for Best Publication Redesign, 2012); and researching, developing, and presenting key journal publication metrics and related recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief, allowing for data-driven decision-making that improved turnaround time, author satisfaction, and consistent monthly page counts.

Responsible for all aspects of manuscript submission, peer review, and release to production for the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, including copyediting and proofreading, author communications, and coordination with editor-in-chief, editorial director, Academy staff, and publisher.

Involved in all phases of product creation, from conceptualization to development to production and packaging. Provided technical and copyediting for all products, including consulting programs, learning instruments, skill assessments, activity collections, workshops, and experiential games for publisher of organizational design and development materials. Collaborated with art director to determine visual presentation of all publications and product catalog, oversee graphic design and page layout, manage projects, and determine production schedule in order to meet deadlines. Responsible for author relations, permissions, ISBN registration, copyright registration, and coordination of product acquisition and review process.
