    Over another summer with Kyruus I gained experience working with our infrastructure, specifically working on and leading a project that helps developers by spinning up a new stack and deploying their code to these new servers. Understanding our infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) was invaluable for me, as I can now do very valuable debugging when it comes time to do deployments.During two weeks of this summer at Kyruus I switched teams to create a prototype of the primary application, ProviderMatch, as a single page application (SPA) with one other engineer. During the first week we quickly iterated to build an application using Backone.Marionette. The second week of prototyping involved tweaking our prototype to make it as lightning fast as we possibly could. Most of this investigation involved using the Chrome developer tools and testing different JavaScript templating libraries.

    I started my summer at Kyruus building small features and fixing small bugs for the main product (ProviderMatch). The last large thing I contributed to ProviderMatch was code to move user authentication from the application itself to the API it was hitting, effectively updating the API and application to new major versions.I then took the opportunity to build (from design to v1 in production), on my own, an internal tool for client services to use when adding new customers to our application.The last project I did was to lead the design and implementation (as a team of three) of a metrics/reporting tool for customers. This tool would show our customers (clinical physicians) who was working in what specialty/subspecialty, as well as the types of patients they would see. This product reached its MVP state just as my internship finished.
