My greatest assets are strong critical thinking and excellent written, and oral, communication skills.During my time at Oregon State University, this meant crafting excellent essays, briefs, and analyses over topics ranging from US Energy Policy to the importance and effectiveness of Democratization in poorer, underdeveloped countries. There were also times where it meant serving as an ambassador in a mock nuclear non-proliferation summit, where I had to work with a team to debate, present, and even compete to achieve a set list of goals. I graduated from Oregon State magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in US History in just three years. Of course, I was able to utilize these abilities outside of the classroom as well.During my time as a research analyst at the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments, I conducted a biomass assessment project over the Linn, Benton, and Lincoln County region. Among a number of responsibilities, I was tasked with communicating with cities, counties, government agencies, and non-government actors; gathering and compiling data and information on different types of waste and different means of disposing of waste; evaluating the cost of current waste management techniques to identify value-added alternatives for the cities, counties, and overall region; and, finally, preparing spreadsheets, reports, and white papers to disseminate the compiled information.I recently accepted a position at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the role of a Management Trainee, and I'm incredibly excited to begin work on July 8.
