After 7 years as a secondary employment to my main Engineering role, I have transitioned into this position as a full time role.This engagement requires a balance of Managerial, LEAN and skills acquired from my former roles to aid and support the Operations Manager and Business Development Manager to sustain company growth. Hence as a Technical Projects Manager my duties include:Participating in & offering technical support in projects under EU schemes such as Erasmus+ KA2 strategic partnerships. Take on new clients and build a working relationship with them as part of the company's core operations.Support and provide technical assistance in the operation of the accommodation department, with regards to trouble-shooting and energy efficiency matters.Train and assist the team in topics, such as business excellence, technical training and Health & Safety amongst others.Currently participating in multiple strategic partnership projects, representing the company in each of these undertakings as well as managing tasks and intellectual outputs as required by the partnership agreements.

Malta

Forming part of the team tasked with setting up a new Pharmaceutical site in the field of Medicinal Cannabis, manufactured to GMP standards. Performed the technical design and implementation supervision of the facility build, achieving a state of the art facility within budget and despite the fact that the build was severely impacted by the onset of covid. Together with the Quality department, implemented and deployed all procedures and systems related to Maintenance and EHS in order to achieve a GMP standard facility.Acted as interim Production Manager during the licensing phase of the operation startup. This involved writing and developing the procedures related to the production department as well as commissioning and startup of the plant and equipment in tandem with the Engineering role.Successfully obtained relevant license from the Malta Medicines Authority, making the site production ready.

Forming part of the Malta Management Team and reporting directly to the Site Manager / GM my role included:Ensuring the smooth running of the Maintenance Department.Leading and coordinating a technical team consisting of highly skilled members, working on a 24/7 basis to ensure minimal downtime during corrective and preventive maintenance events.Ensuring all activities are carried out in a timely manner, in close knit with other departments and above all staying within the allocated departmental budget. Such activities are not limited to maintenance and repairs but also include organizing logistics associated with new projects and critical facility upgrades. Responsible for Departmental OPEX and CAPEX budgets by controlling spending and scheduling new investment projects.EHS coordination with assistance of a dedicated expert forming part of the team.Working in a high level corporate environment where coordination with other sites and exchange of information are critical day to day necessities.This role essentially builds on the mixed hands on and managerial experience acquired during the years spent in my previous employment, and moves on towards a more coordinating/managerial role.

Responsible for planning, coordinating and/or executing maintenance events including:Preventive maintenanceFault findingNew installations & modifications to existing systemsDealing with Plant & Pharmaceutical production equipment associated with solid oral dosage manufacture. Specific hands on experience on Plant equipment such as Boilers, Chillers, Air compressors, HVAC systems, Purified Water, Emergency power generation and power distribution.Production equipment installation and experience includes: Coating pans, Tableting, Capsule filling, Bin tumblers and granulation equipment amongst others.Experience with GMP operations including quality systems and SOP's H&S coordination including but not limited to Risk assessment, Safety equipment upkeep, MSDS and PPE assignment and ATEX environments.

Achieved an MSc. Qualification in Lean Enterprise which comprised of 90 ECTS credits over 3 years
