After almost 10 years of Service with Secure Energy as a Drilling Fluid Specialist, I decided to go on my own and diversify. Integrity and Next Level Service are key components of Raizing Barz Consulting Inc.

I have over 15 years of oil and gas experience and 10 years specifically in the drilling mud industry. With a background in computer technology and a variety of fluid system experiences, I provide a strong technical influence. I have worked with nearly all types of fluids systems in use in Canada today. I have also encountered and worked through many types of problems associated with drilling a well such as; High Bottom Hole Temperatures, High Pressure / Weighted muds, H2S and CO2 gas migrations. Lost Circulation in a H2S zone with gas to surface. Seepage losses and Lost circulation on surface and in the Production Interval with Inverts and Water based systems, Mud cap displacements in vertical and Hz sections with managed pressure drilling, Massive Anhydrite, Sloughing & Swelling shale’s, Stuck pipe, Mud Rings, trouble-shooting, floc water. I have also spent a lot of my time working on Brine Systems in the last 3 years with good success. The main Brine systems I have used are Potassium Formate, Calcium Chloride, Sodium Chloride and variations thereof.

After Cedar Creek Drilling was bought out by Horizon Drilling I continued my work with the same Rig Horizon Rig 1. I stayed with Rig 1 for approximately 3 years and then moved to other rigs within the company to further my career up to my Derrick Hand Position. As a derrick hand I worked with many systems such as Gel Chem, Invert, and Water based. I have worked in such places as Rainbow Lake, Slave Lake, Fort St John - Dawson, Three Hills, Peace River (Seal Lake Area) and others.,I left Horizon Drilling to Pursue a Career with Marquis Alliance / Secure Energy.

After a number of years out of the Oil and Gas Industry (Last worked with Hemsing Drilling in 2000). I returned to work for Cedar Creek Drilling Rig 1 starting from lease hand and working my way back up the ladder.
