Working as part of an SLT team at the Sheffield Inclusion Centre as Assistant Head. My passion is to help drive positive change in young people through the encounters they experience in our educational setting. Over the years, I have worked in a range of different roles with young people, which have all helped shape my values around how important the environment is for the young people we work with. It is my aim to ensure the young people I work with feel valued, safe and able to express themselves, in preparation for life beyond school. My ambition is to one day become a head of school, where I can shape the future of the young peoples lives I work with, through my vision of the ideal educational curriculum and life values young people should develop through school.

Key Stage Lead/ Physical Education LeaHeritage Park Community School Sep 2017 - Apr 2020SheffieldMy main roles in school are as the Key stage Lead and as the Physical Education Lead. My role as the key stage lead involves me overseeing five classes in an SEMH setting, where I am responsible for overseeing the development of pupils and staff within my team. My main duties are to ensure the pupils within my key stage feel safe in school and are in a position where they feel secure enough to show progress in learning and behaviour. Due to the nature of our pupils complex needs I ensure staff work effectively with our young children to help them develop as young people. To do this I am part of the performance management team and specifically work with two teachers within my phase. In my role as the PE lead I am responsible for developing the intended curriculum and monitoring the implemented curriculum. As well as this I also work with outside agencies to improve the physical and sporting opportunities our pupils receive and monitor and evidence this through our sports premium evidence against the key indicators. I am also currently working as an NQT mentor for a member of staff within the PE department. To do this I support my trainee with lesson observations, modelling teaching and through evidencing his teacher standards.
