• Perform construction inspection services for IDOT, ISTHA, CDOT, and CDA. Scope includes asphalt paving, structural and roadway concrete, storm sewers, maintenance of traffic, electrical, and landscaping.• Review and provide responses to submittals for CDOT’s Traffic Signal Improvement Program. • Daily coordination with Department of Electrical Operations to perform work in controller cabinets at various intersections around Chicago.• Provide designer with comments on MOT plan revisions for ISTHA’s $66 M roadway widening and bridge rehab project. • Document material certifications to ensure compliance with applicable standards and check enough quantity is provided.• Evaluate documentation of job history to quantify work done for individual pay items and indicate reasoning to the contractor for disputed items.

• Coordinate directly with superintendents to submit RFIs while providing the designer with preferred solutions in order to minimize cost and schedule impacts. • Negotiate subcontractor buyout for civil site work on the 95th St. Red Line Terminal Improvements. Ensured that bid packages were within budget constraints for each scope of the $200+ M contract. • Manage 4 week lookahead schedules with subcontractors and FHP superintendents to push the job forward working days, nights, and weekends when necessary.• Write subcontracts, specifically inclusions and exclusions, after discussion with subcontractors so there is clarity on exact scope of work.• Track material procurement in relation to approved submittals and release dates to avoid delays due to long lead time items.• Communicate with other IDOT contracts to schedule lane closures in conjunction with CTA track outages.
