After 20+ years of experience in the industry, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of different technologies and software ranging from physically modeled systems processing circuit designs to SaaS web sites supporting hundreds of thousands of end users. I have worked with a wide range of languages including C#, C++, Java, Perl, Python, PHP, Scheme, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as other proprietary languages and a variety of isolated projects written in others not listed.I generally love technology and try to keep on top of the latest trends in the industry ranging from containerization, to web frameworks, to changes in language specifications that may increase their usefulness in other areas.I am an extremely motivated individual, and in all of the positions I've held, I have made significant impacts and become a key part of the team. Being able to bring about those meaningful and tangible impacts to the company or team I am working with is something that gives me a great sense of personal job satisfaction.

Senior Software ArchitectExago Inc. Oct 2019 - Jan 2022Shelton, Ct, UsIn my role as senior software architect, I am responsible for working with the product team to write technical specifications for product enhancements as well as assist the project manager in slicing the corresponding projects into manageable pieces that can be independently developed. I am also involved in all status calls, work with assigned developers to assist with technical issues, and perform code reviews. In addition to overseeing projects, I am also responsible for the actual development of some of the enhancements, and push bug fixes as well as work with developers to assist with more complex issues. In this role, I have also written documentation for several internal processes, and routinely get called into both client and prospective client support issues as well as providing technical architecture diagrams illustrating how various product integrations can or should be handled. -
Senior Software EngineerExago Inc. Jan 2015 - Oct 2019Shelton, Ct, UsAs a software developer at Exago Inc, I was responsible for maintaining the existing C# and TypeScript/ JavaScript code base as well as various configuration files and schemas written in XML. I was also a key engineer assigned to larger enhancements and was instrumental in porting the application to run in a Linux environment. I also proposed changes to the version numbering to adhere to a stricter feature set/bug-fix distinction to better support the growing customer base. I participated in client prospect calls and assisted in debugging customer issues that could not be resolved directly by the support team. During my time in this position, I was also involved in the hiring process and worked with the director of engineering in making hiring decisions for the development team. -
Eda Software EngineerIbm Jan 2008 - Dec 2014Armonk, New York, Ny, UsIn my position as an EDA software engineer, I was primarily responsible for writing and managing software used to improve the manufacturing yield of circuit designs (DFM). I worked very closely with customers and my team to determine software requirements, generate or collect test data, write software and perform regression testing. I used both CVS and SVN version control systems and wrote software in a variety of languages including: C, C++, Perl, Korn Shell, Scheme, Skill, DFFL, and TCL. In this position I have also written software to parallelize large jobs across multiple systems and significantly reduce runtime. The software solution is system independent and can run in the currently mixed environment containing both AIX and Linux systems. To manage the large volume of runs, I have written software to parse through hundreds of thousands of log entries and summarize data into a single report that can then be looked through more thoroughly to determine the nature of any user fails that may show up. By running this on a regular basis, my team and myself were able to determine trends and take action to fix bugs before a single user had even opened a problem ticket. -
Aix AdministratorIbm May 2001 - Jan 2008Armonk, New York, Ny, UsIn my first position as an AIX administrator, I primarily installed new systems being used for a high-profile manufacturing line at IBM. My responsibilities included installing the base OS as well as any necessary security updates. In addition, I would take customer requirements and install and configure various software packages on top so they would be ready for customer use. I also took part in bi-weekly meetings to train the on-site first level support staff on how to troubleshoot various AIX issues that might come up. During my time in this position, I was exposed to a lot of new technologies including HACMP and HAES (High Availability systems) and installed and configured various systems with failover capabilities to prevent outages in the event of a complete system failure. I have also configured FibreChannel adapters and disk arrays and have used various disk redundancy solutions. In my second position as an AIX administrator, I supported an IBM research team managing their lab of over 600 AIX servers. I installed new systems including blade servers running Redhat Linux, as well as AIX clusters managed by central cluster managers. During my time as an AIX administrator in this position, I was also given the opportunity to work with some of the research staff and received a patent for a software system used to analyze power curves in circuit simulation data. I was also responsible for maintaining large plotter printers, and end user issues with AIX workstations. My responsibilities included troubleshooting and working closely with the research staff to make sure the systems were working how they wanted. -
Pc Support / Server AdminMarist College Sep 1997 - May 2001Poughkeepsie, Ny, UsDuring my time doing PC support, I responded to various end user problems on systems ranging from OS/2, Windows 3.1, Windows NT, and Windows 95 in a token ring network environment. I replaced hardware, installed software, and rebuilt systems. I also wrote basic system analysis tools to collect data that was used to determine if a user was eligible for certain software upgrades. After PC Support, I was promoted to managing campus lab systems, as well as some server administration. The lab computers were all windows 95 at the time and used various software packages from Norton and Wise to keep a standard base image across the campus and install additional software through the use of a lab specific scripts. I wrote software to debug and manage all of the lab scripts as well as generate reports accessible via the web with license counts and additional information for managerial purposes. This information was frequently accessed by management to determine license budgets for upcoming years, and to verify we were in compliance with the licenses already purchased. I also managed server administration tasks ranging from installs to the creation of shared directories as well as user and group access. During my time there, I also went out of my way to fix problems that were not in the scope of my existing job requirements and was able to completely disassemble (and reassemble) an out of warranty printer used by the admissions office in order to replace a drive belt.
